Vertrod drop sealers are designed to meet the highest demands for reducing packaging time. This model is typically paired with a bag opener to accelerate the bag loading process. After a bag is filled, it is passed through the sealing jaws and onto an angled outfeed table that supports the bag's bottom. A photocell senses the product's position and triggers the air expeller assembly, which compresses the bag and expels air. The timer can be adjusted to delay the jaw closure, separate from the air expeller, ensuring optimal compression and air removal before the sealing process begins. Once sealing is complete, the support fingers retract, allowing the sealed bag to slide off the outfeed table. At the same time, the jaws open to make room for the next filled bag. The DSL can be manually operated using a foot pedal or an optional palm button.
