This type of feeder is best suited for the feeding and separation of flat products such as envelopes, phone cards, carton cuttings, and inserts. Products are piled into the magazine of the friction feeder. The lowest product lies on the friction belt and is pulled from the pile through the friction force of the belt. A braking roller prevents the next product from being pulled out.
