SIGMA Equipment Listing Terms and Conditions

By providing your equipment details to SIGMA Equipment, Inc. (“SIGMA,” “we,” or “us”) for review, you agree to the following Equipment Listing Terms and Conditions. These terms operate in conjunction with our general Website Terms of Use.

1. Listing Overview & Methods

This form is used to send equipment details to SIGMA Equipment for review. Depending on the method you select, the following processes apply:

  • Website Listing: By providing your equipment details, you are agreeing to list the equipment on our website. Once received, our team will review your equipment to ensure it meets our requirements. If approved, it will be shown on the website. You can view all of your equipment listings from your account page: https://www.sigmaequipment.com/account/equipment/
  • Outright Purchase: We will review your equipment and, if interested, present an outright purchase offer. If accepted, we will coordinate rigging and removal around your schedule to minimize disruption. Payment is sent immediately following a satisfactory inspection of the equipment at our facility. If the equipment is not a perfect fit for an outright purchase, we will recommend an alternative method.
  • Consignment to Auction: We will review your equipment, and our auction team will reach out to discuss the consignment process to get started.
  • Trade-In Program: We will review your equipment and present a Trade-In offer. If you accept, we will arrange the pickup of your equipment from your facility. After the equipment is inspected at our facility, you will receive a credit to use toward your next SIGMA purchase.

2. Business Model and Pricing

SIGMA Equipment operates as a broker/dealer that provides a guided, full-service experience for our customers; we are not a marketplace or aggregator.

  • Asking Price vs. Listing Price: The "Asking Price" you enter on the form is the net price you are selling the equipment for. SIGMA will determine and create the final price that will be shown and offered to customers on our website.

3. Equipment Acceptance Guidelines

Our primary focus is on packaging and processing industrial equipment.

What We Accept:

We accept equipment utilized within the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Health & Beauty, Consumer Goods, and Contract Packaging industries, including equipment that supports these plants. A full list of categories we sell can be found at: https://www.sigmaequipment.com/equipment/

What We Do Not Accept:

  • - Small quantity MRO parts (e.g., Motors, VFDs, HMIs, PLCs, Glue Systems, Pneumatics). For these items, please consult our SIGMA Surplus division, who will gladly help: https://sigmasurplus.com/sell-your-surplus/
  • - Office supplies or office furniture.
  • - Items being sold from a residential location.

4. Right of Refusal

SIGMA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject or not approve any equipment listing request. Reasons for non-approval may include, but are not limited to: equipment type, condition, asking price, physical location, model, year, or current market demand.

5. General Provisions

  • Information Accuracy: You agree that all details, descriptions, and photographs provided accurately represent the current condition and specifications of the equipment.
  • Governing Law: These Equipment Listing Terms are governed by the laws of Indiana, USA. Any disputes arising from this evaluation or listing process will be handled exclusively in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, courts.
