There are several kinds of multipackers, which vary according to what products are being bundled. Some multipackers automatically turn products, and fit them together into product bricks to be wrapped. Some machines wrap the film around the product, giving it a seam on the bottom, while others have seams on the sides. Often, the ends are left unsealed, revealing the product inside the multipack after it goes through the heat tunnel.
